A couple of months ago, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law. And while it touches on many different areas, it will be remembered as the most consequential healthcare bill since the Affordable Care Act. From the emails I've received, I know that many of you are wondering how and when this new law will impact what you pay for your prescription medications.
The National MS Society's Vice-President of Advocacy, Steffany Stern, and MS activist Judy Wilson, join me in this episode to explain how this new law benefits people who are living with MS, who, among everyone living with MS, will see some of those benefits first, and when you will begin to see those benefits.
We're also talking about a study that showed people with progressive MS are four times more likely to experience serious infection requiring hospitalization, compared to people with relapsing-remitting MS.
We'll tell you about a machine-learning algorithm that can predict MS patient outcomes when it comes to symptoms like fatigue, depression, and sleep disturbance.
And we'll share some very sobering survey results from the MS Society in the U.K.
We have a lot to talk about! Are you ready for RealTalk MS??!
